Projects
Projects are created inside a workspace. Access depends on two things: your workspace role and whether an owner or admin has assigned you to the project.
Who can see a project
Section titled “Who can see a project”- Owners and admins see every project in the workspace.
- Members and viewers only see projects they have been assigned to.
- If you open a project you are not assigned to, the portal returns a not found page.
Being a workspace member does not automatically give you access to every project. An owner or admin must assign you first.
Who can edit a project
Section titled “Who can edit a project”| Workspace role | Can edit |
|---|---|
| Owner | Any project |
| Admin | Any project |
| Member | Only assigned projects |
| Viewer | No — read-only |
Viewers can still open assigned projects and read their details.
Create a project
Section titled “Create a project”Owners and admins can create projects:
- Open Projects in the sidebar.
- Choose New project.
- Enter a project name and save.
Members and viewers do not see the create button.
Edit a project
Section titled “Edit a project”Open the project and choose Edit project. Owners, admins, and assigned members can change the project name.
Assign people to a project
Section titled “Assign people to a project”Only owners and admins can manage project access.
- Open the project.
- Find the Team access card.
- Choose Assign next to a member or viewer.
- Use Remove to revoke access.
Owners and admins are not listed in the card because they already have workspace-wide access.
Removing someone from the workspace also removes their project assignments. If they are invited back later, they start with no project access until they are assigned again.
