Roles and permissions

The portal uses two separate role systems: workspace roles and platform roles. Workspace roles control access to projects and team settings. Platform roles control access to the platform administration page.

A person can hold only one workspace role at a time.

Project assignment

Assignment is separate from the workspace role:

Owners and admins never need an assignment.
Members and viewers need an assignment before they can see a project.
An assigned member can edit the project.
An assigned viewer can read the project but cannot edit it.

Platform roles

Platform roles are managed by Lengix Tech and are not part of workspace membership.

Platform administrators can open the Admin page. Most portal users have the standard User role.
